In a heartfelt display of empathy, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has sanctioned the cancellation of debts amounting to over AED475.154 million for 1,435 Emirati citizens.
This initiative, overseen by the Defaulted Debts Settlement Fund, aims to address the financial struggles of citizens facing hardships and enhance their quality of life. The relief effort seeks to fortify familial bonds while contributing to the nation’s wider social enrichment.
Beneficiaries include low-income individuals, retirees on limited pensions, seniors, and families facing humanitarian and medical challenges. This program is executed in partnership with 19 banks and financial entities across the UAE, ensuring a thorough and organized approach to debt alleviation.
This proactive measure provides crucial financial respite to those in need, enabling them to restore stability and regain confidence. For many, who were previously encumbered by debt, this initiative offers a fresh start to improve their lives.
