Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, welcomed a delegation from the National Bank of Ras Al Khaimah (RAKBANK) at his Palace in Saqr bin Mohammed City. The delegation was led by Mohammed Omran Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Bank’s Board of Directors, along with Murat Çağrı Süzer, Group CEO of Network International. Several senior officials from both organisations were also present during the meeting.

During the visit, Sheikh Saud received a detailed update on the bank’s major projects and its ongoing programmes. The RAKBANK team explained the latest steps they are taking to improve their banking services and upgrade customer experience. They also highlighted the bank’s initiatives in digital transformation, financial innovation, and efforts to support entrepreneurs as well as small and medium-sized businesses in Ras Al Khaimah.

Sheikh Saud also reviewed the role of Network International, a company that provides advanced payment solutions across the region. Representatives from the company explained how their technology helps the financial sector operate more smoothly and strengthens digital services for banks and commercial institutions. They added that these solutions help boost the economic environment and speed up innovation in the payments sector across the UAE.

The Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah stressed that the banking sector is a key pillar of the national economy. He noted that strong and modern financial institutions play a major role in building a supportive business climate and attracting new investments. Sheikh Saud also praised RAKBANK for its ongoing efforts to introduce modern financial solutions and for working closely with both public and private sector partners.

He added that the bank’s commitment to innovation and development supports economic growth in the emirate and contributes to the UAE’s overall financial stability. Sheikh Saud expressed appreciation for the bank’s work in adopting global best practices and providing services that meet the needs of individuals, businesses, and investors.

Members of the RAKBANK and Network International delegations expressed their gratitude to Sheikh Saud for his continuous support. They said his guidance motivates them to improve their performance and expand the range of services they provide. They also emphasised that the Ruler’s encouragement for innovation and development inspires them to introduce new financial solutions that help customers in Ras Al Khaimah and across the country.

The delegation further highlighted that their partnership with the emirate supports the UAE’s vision for sustainable economic growth. They reaffirmed their commitment to developing more advanced digital systems, improving operational efficiency, and strengthening cooperation with government institutions.

Through these discussions, both sides agreed on the importance of keeping pace with global financial trends, especially in the areas of technology, digital payments, and customer-focused services. They emphasised that investing in innovation is essential for meeting the needs of future generations and ensuring strong economic progress.

By the end of the meeting, Sheikh Saud wished both organisations success in their future projects. He encouraged them to continue their efforts in enhancing banking services and supporting the growth of the emirate’s financial sector. The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to work together toward building a more advanced and competitive banking environment in Ras Al Khaimah.
