Sudan Thanks Saudi Leaders for Help and Support During Crisis

Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Sudan, Dr. Kamil El-Tayeb Idris, recently expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to Saudi Arabia’s Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. Dr. Idris praised their kind and generous support for the people of Sudan during very hard times. Sudan has been going through difficult challenges, and the help from Saudi Arabia has been very important for the Sudanese people to face these problems.

Strong Humanitarian Support in Hard Times

Dr. Idris noted that the support shown by the Saudi leaders is a true example of kindness and brotherhood. Their help is not just political or formal but comes from real care and concern for the people of Sudan. He called their stance “genuine” and “unlimited” humanitarian support. This means Saudi Arabia has helped as much as it could, without limits, to help Sudan through its crisis. The Prime Minister said this support is very important in helping the people live better lives despite the difficult conditions.

A Model for Arab and Islamic Solidarity

The Prime Minister also said that the way Saudi Arabia has helped Sudan is a model for other Arab and Islamic countries. This means that their actions show how countries in the Arab and Muslim world should help each other. He said this kind of help shows the true meaning of brotherhood and humanity. Brotherhood means caring for others as if they were family, and humanity means showing kindness to all people. According to Dr. Idris, the support from Saudi Arabia proves these values are still alive and strong between the two countries and in the wider region.

Praise for KSrelief and Its Important Role

Dr. Idris gave special praise to Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, the Advisor to the Royal Court and the General Supervisor of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief). KSrelief is a government organization in Saudi Arabia that helps many countries during disasters and crises. Dr. Idris said that KSrelief has been working hard and continuously to support Sudan, and their help has been very valuable. He highlighted the important role KSrelief plays in making sure aid reaches the people who need it the most.

The Relief Sea Bridge for Medical Help

One of the biggest and most useful projects by KSrelief was the “relief sea bridge.” This sea bridge helped send important medical supplies and equipment by ship to Sudan. Medical help like this is very important because many hospitals and clinics in Sudan need equipment to treat patients properly. The supplies sent included machines, medicines, generators (which provide electricity), and oxygen stations (which help patients breathe better). These things have saved many lives and made medical treatment possible for thousands of people.

More Than 40 Medical Camps to Help People

Apart from sending medical equipment, KSrelief also organized more than 40 medical camps across Sudan. These camps are places where doctors and nurses go to provide free healthcare to people who may not be able to visit hospitals. Many people in Sudan live in remote or poor areas and cannot easily access hospitals. These medical camps help by offering check-ups, treatment, medicines, and health education. Thanks to these camps, thousands of patients received help, which reduced their suffering and improved their health.

Vital Help During War and Conflict

Dr. Idris also spoke about the difficult situation Sudan has faced during the war. War creates many problems for people, including lack of food, medicine, and safe places to live. During this difficult period, Saudi Arabia’s help was very important. KSrelief’s support accounted for about 60% of all the aid delivered to Sudan by all partners in the early days of the war. This shows how big a role Saudi Arabia played in giving relief and assistance to the Sudanese people in a time of great need.

A Long History of Friendship Between Sudan and Saudi Arabia

The Prime Minister reminded everyone that the relationship between Sudan and Saudi Arabia is not new. The two countries have a long history of friendship and cooperation. Saudi Arabia has been helping Sudan for many years, not just during the current crisis. This continuous support shows the strong bond between the two nations. The current aid from KSrelief and Saudi Arabia is part of this long-standing relationship, and it reflects the spirit of friendship and cooperation that has lasted for decades.

How KSrelief Helps Around the World

KSrelief is known for helping many countries during disasters, wars, and emergencies. It provides food, medical supplies, water, and shelter to people in need. In Sudan, KSrelief’s work has been focused on health and medical care because many people have been hurt or sick due to the war and other problems. The center works quickly to send help by air, land, and sea to reach those who need it most. This work has saved many lives and brought hope to people suffering from the crisis.

Saudi Arabia’s Role in Promoting Peace and Stability

By helping Sudan during its crisis, Saudi Arabia also shows its commitment to promoting peace and stability in the region. When countries help each other during hard times, it creates stronger friendships and reduces conflict. The help from Saudi Arabia has brought relief to many families and communities in Sudan. It also shows how Saudi Arabia is working to support not just its own people but also people in other countries who need help.

The Importance of Brotherhood and Humanity in Aid

The Prime Minister’s words remind us that humanitarian aid is about more than just sending goods. It is about caring for others and showing that we are connected as human beings. Saudi Arabia’s support to Sudan is an example of how countries should stand together in tough times. It shows that kindness, brotherhood, and humanity can make a big difference in people’s lives.

Future Cooperation Between Sudan and Saudi Arabia

Looking forward, Sudan hopes to continue working closely with Saudi Arabia. The Prime Minister hopes that the two countries will keep building strong relations in many areas, including health, education, economy, and culture. The help during this crisis has strengthened their friendship, and both countries want to work together to create a better future for their peoples.

Saudi Support is a Lifeline for Sudan

The support from Saudi Arabia and KSrelief has been a lifeline for Sudan during very difficult times. The Prime Minister’s gratitude shows how much this help means to the people of Sudan. It is a shining example of true brotherhood and humanitarian support. Saudi Arabia’s ongoing help offers hope and relief to thousands of Sudanese people who need it the most.
