Travel Advisory: UAE Citizens Urged to Avoid Mali

Post by : Bianca Haleem

In a decisive response to escalating tensions, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs has enacted a travel ban for citizens considering travel to Mali. This measure is taken in light of the recent political and security turmoil in the West African nation, which presents significant risks to travelers.

Emirati citizens currently in Mali are urged to leave the country without delay. The Ministry advises them to prioritize their safety, arrange for immediate departures, and refrain from non-essential movements as the situation is highly unpredictable.

Officials have highlighted the necessity of adhering to all official communications. Nationals abroad are encouraged to keep in touch with the Ministry via the 24/7 emergency hotline, a critical resource for ensuring their safety during this period of uncertainty in Mali.

With increasing unrest in Mali, experts recommend that travelers exercise caution, avoid public events, and stay informed through updates from both local authorities and the UAE government. The advisory from the Ministry underscores the emphasis on personal safety throughout this challenging time.
