In an effort to further its long-term vision for 2025, the United Arab Emirates has launched several transformative policy measures and national initiatives aimed at boosting economic competitiveness, improving digital infrastructure, and enhancing societal welfare. This collective initiative underscores the UAE's aspiration to solidify its role as a global leader in innovation, sustainability, and governance excellence.
A standout announcement includes the introduction of a new phase in the UAE Talent Attraction & Retention Strategy 2031, which is geared toward attracting skilled professionals and preserving long-term human capital. This endeavor aims to enhance sectors essential to future industries, ensuring that the nation remains competitive in the global arena.
On the digital transformation front, the government has revealed the National Cybersecurity Strategy along with an API-First Policy. These efforts are designed to foster secure data sharing across federal systems, thus enabling streamlined digital services, bolstered cyber resilience, and better collaboration among public institutions. These initiatives are integral to the UAE's objective of fostering a trusted and advanced digital economy.
To improve its economic infrastructure, the Cabinet has established the UAE Logistics Integration Council. This council is tasked with harmonizing logistics policies, enhancing supply chain effectiveness, and further establishing the nation as a prominent global logistics centre, thanks to its strategic positioning and innovative transport infrastructure.
Improving public governance is also a key focus. The second phase of the Zero Bureaucracy Programme aims to streamline government processes and lessen administrative hurdles for both citizens and businesses alike. Furthermore, the Proactive Government Performance System has been introduced to evaluate service quality and ensure compliance with the “We the UAE 2031” vision.
Social welfare takes a front seat in the 2025 agenda, marked by the launch of the Volunteering and Community Engagement Ecosystem. This initiative aims to foster public participation and expand the national volunteer base to 600,000, promoting social unity and community collaboration.
During the UAE Government Annual Meetings 2025, the country announced the “Unified UAE Numbers,” a sophisticated AI-driven national data platform intended to inform policy decisions and enhance statistical precision. The National Family Growth Agenda 2031 was also unveiled, aiming to boost birth rates, elevate marriage rates, and reduce the average marriage age among Emiratis, aligning with long-term demographic goals.
Moreover, security measures are being bolstered with the introduction of the National Encryption Policy, which encourages government entities to transition from conventional encryption to post-quantum cryptography, ensuring data protection measures adapt to future technological realities.
Collectively, these initiatives represent a pivotal moment for national growth, integrating economic reform, digital advancements, and social policies to promote sustainable development and secure the UAE’s future success.
