The UAE has made remarkable progress in social and economic areas, according to a special report by the GCC Statistical Centre (GCC-STAT) for the country’s 54th Eid Al Etihad. The report shows that the UAE ranks first in the Gulf region and seventh globally for social cohesion. This reflects a strong and united social structure. Economically, the country follows a clear path that begins with income diversification, moves toward a knowledge-based economy, and develops future-focused sectors.
The UAE has launched strategic initiatives to ensure long-term growth. This includes the UAE National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031, which aims to use technology as a key driver of development. The country has also created long-term plans for food and water security, extending to 2036 and 2051. Smart city projects are underway in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Fujairah, with plans reaching through 2040. The UAE is also expanding its focus on technology, space, renewable energy, and advanced industries.

The country ranks tenth globally in soft power and first in entrepreneurship for the fourth consecutive year. Its strong sovereign wealth funds act not only as financial managers but also as strategic tools supporting economic stability and long-term security.
