The UAE Cybersecurity Council (CSC) continued its strong international role during Expo 2025 Osaka by taking part in many discussions and panels about cybersecurity and digital threats. At the same time, the Council also joined the world-famous Global Cybersecurity Conference, Cybertech Tokyo 2025, held in Japan. Through these events, the Council focused on building better ways to share information, increase international cooperation, and improve how nations respond to cyber crises.
UAE Shows Global Cybersecurity Commitment
By joining Cybertech Tokyo 2025, the UAE highlighted its serious commitment to protect critical digital systems and networks. The country made clear that it wants to play an active and central role in supporting global efforts to reduce cyber risks. With technology changing very quickly, cyber threats are also becoming more advanced, and the UAE believes strong partnerships are the only way to build real protection.
Cybertech Tokyo As A Global Platform
Cybertech Tokyo 2025 acted as a stage where world leaders, experts, and businesses came together. The event was not just about challenges, but also about opportunities that come with new technologies. It included displays of advanced cybersecurity solutions from large companies and startups. Speakers included government officials, top business leaders, and experts from different parts of the world. Cybertech is well known as a place where cross-border partnerships are built, businesses can find new chances, and the latest innovations are shown to fight cyber threats.
Wide Range Of Topics At Cybertech
The conference covered many themes related to digital and national security. Discussions included how to protect important infrastructure like power grids, ports, and transport systems. Other areas were cyber defense, research and development, and new digital tools to fight attacks. The UAE Council joined in two very important sessions.
Focus On Ports And Maritime Cybersecurity
The first session that the UAE took part in was about cybersecurity in the ports and maritime sector. This was a vital topic because world trade depends heavily on safe and secure shipping routes. Experts and leaders presented new strategies to make sure ports and shipping lines are well protected from possible cyberattacks. They discussed how to make systems stronger and more resilient so that international trade is not interrupted even if cyber threats appear.
Building Resilient Cyber Systems
In this session, the UAE Council shared its national best practices. The Council explained how strong and well-prepared cyber systems can reduce risks and protect global trade. The emphasis was on creating systems that can continue working even during cyberattacks. This protects both the flow of goods and the growth of the digital economy, which today depends greatly on secure online systems.
Strengthening International Cyber Cooperation
The second important session was about how countries can work together more effectively against cybercrime. Cybersecurity leaders from many nations joined this discussion. They shared their thoughts on cross-border cooperation, intelligence sharing, and partnerships to detect and stop attacks earlier. The idea was that cybercrime does not stop at borders, so the solutions also must be international.
UAE Meeting With U.S. Treasury Leaders
On the sidelines of the conference, the UAE Cybersecurity Council held important meetings with several international partners. One key meeting was with the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, the UAE’s Head of Cybersecurity, met with Corey Wilson, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Treasury. They discussed how to improve cooperation in financial cybersecurity and strengthen global digital governance.
The Crystal Ball Platform For Cyber Sharing
During these discussions, both sides also talked about the Crystal Ball platform, a tool for fast and safe international cyber cooperation. This platform helps countries and institutions share intelligence about threats in real time. Since cyberattacks now often cross borders, such platforms are very important. They help countries work together, learn from each other, and act quickly against threats. This shared approach increases global resilience and readiness.
UAE Meeting With Japanese Leaders
The UAE Council also held a bilateral meeting with Japanese cybersecurity leaders. This meeting focused on research and development cooperation, as well as capacity building in cybersecurity. Both countries agreed that sharing knowledge and transferring technology are necessary to support digital transformation. By learning from each other, they can create long-term solutions for fighting cyber threats in a sustainable and effective way.
UAE And India Strengthen Cybersecurity Ties
Another major meeting was with Indian officials. This discussion looked at joint efforts to protect critical digital infrastructure and strengthen expertise in cybersecurity for both government and private sectors. They also explored collaboration in advanced areas like artificial intelligence, cloud security, and cybersecurity solutions for smart cities.
The Role Of AI In Cybersecurity
Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti explained that the Council’s international engagements show the importance of staying ahead in the digital transformation era. With artificial intelligence and other fast-growing technologies, new risks are appearing every day. He said that these changes make international cooperation more important than ever. The UAE wants to ensure that the use of AI goes together with open innovation, shared knowledge, and collective protection.
Partnerships To Build Cyber Resilience
According to Dr. Al Kuwaiti, the UAE believes that working together globally helps build resilience, readiness, and adaptability. By combining experiences and knowledge, countries can make sure the digital economy grows safely. This approach also shows the UAE’s goal of becoming a global hub for cybersecurity innovation and excellence.
UAE Strengthens Its Global Position
The meetings and discussions at Cybertech Tokyo 2025 confirmed that the UAE is following a clear and strong strategy. The country wants to build a wide network of international partnerships to secure the global digital space. Its active role in this conference is proof that the UAE is committed to creating a safe, stable, and cooperative digital future. This also strengthens the country’s position as a global leader in cybersecurity.
Shaping A Safer Digital Future
The UAE’s participation at Cybertech Tokyo 2025 shows not only its national interests but also its willingness to contribute to worldwide safety. Cyber threats are shared problems, and the UAE is making sure it is part of the global solution. By working closely with countries like the U.S., Japan, and India, and by joining platforms like Crystal Ball, the UAE is helping shape a more secure digital environment for everyone.
