The UAE Embassy in Beijing launched a cultural event called “Al Bait Al Emarati” at the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall of China. This event is part of the activities of the Huairou Great Wall Marathon and the Zayed Charity Run 2025.

The event is taking place for the first time in Beijing, attracting runners, enthusiasts, and visitors from around the world.

Showcasing Emirati Heritage

“Al Bait Al Emarati” gives visitors a close look at Emirati culture, art, and traditions. Guests enjoyed live folk performances, including Al Ayyala, a traditional Emirati dance.

Visitors also saw artisans demonstrating handicrafts such as Al Sadu weaving, Al Talli embroidery, and palm-frond weaving. These displays highlighted the rich heritage and traditional skills of the UAE.

Traditional Hospitality And Cuisine

The pavilion offered visitors a taste of traditional Emirati hospitality and cuisine. Guests experienced the warmth of Arab culture, enjoying food and welcoming interactions that reflected the UAE’s rich cultural traditions.

Integration With Global Sports Event

The event was organized by the UAE Embassy in Beijing in partnership with the marathon. It aims to highlight the cultural side of the UAE while connecting with the international sports community.

By combining culture with a global humanitarian sports event, the UAE showed its commitment to promoting health, peace, and tolerance around the world.

Visitors Engage With Culture

“Al Bait Al Emarati” quickly became a lively hub where Chinese visitors and international guests engaged with the cultural displays, enjoyed live performances, and learned about Emirati customs and folk traditions.

The event strengthened understanding and appreciation of Emirati heritage, creating a bridge between cultures at one of the world’s most famous historical sites.

UAE’s Cultural Message

The inauguration of the event reflects the UAE’s vision of using culture to bring people together. By integrating heritage with sport, the country emphasizes the importance of global interaction, tolerance, and humanitarian values.

This event shows that culture can serve as a universal language, connecting nations and communities through shared experiences.
