Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, attended a reception in Abu Dhabi hosted by the Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to the UAE, Ridi Kurtezi, on the occasion of Albania’s National Day. The event brought together senior officials, diplomats, business leaders, and members of the Albanian community living in the UAE, reflecting the close ties between the two countries.
The reception was attended by Omar Rashid Al Neyadi, Director of the European Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, along with several ministry officials, senior state representatives, and heads of accredited Arab and foreign diplomatic missions. The gathering provided an opportunity for officials and guests to celebrate Albania’s heritage and strengthen bilateral relations.
During his address, Ambassador Ridi Kurtezi praised the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He highlighted the strong cooperation between the UAE and Albania and expressed his country’s commitment to further enhancing relations across political, economic, and cultural fields. The ambassador described UAE–Albania relations as strong and growing, built on mutual respect and the shared goal of deepening collaboration in all areas of development.
Ambassador Kurtezi also emphasized the role of the UAE–Albania Joint Economic Committee, describing it as a symbol of the robust economic ties and the mutual commitment to accelerating growth and investment opportunities between the two nations. He noted that the committee provides a structured platform for exploring trade, investment, and joint projects that benefit both countries.
The event served as an occasion to recognize the contributions of the Albanian community in the UAE and their role in fostering cultural exchange and strengthening diplomatic relations. Guests shared in the celebration of Albania’s achievements, reflecting the growing friendship and partnership between the two nations.
