UAE Welcomes Start of Thailand–Cambodia Peace Pact Implementation

Post by : Raina Al-Fahim

Abu Dhabi, 5 November 2025 – The United Arab Emirates has welcomed the launch of the implementation phase of the peace agreement between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Kingdom of Cambodia, which was recently signed in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The UAE noted the agreement provides an opportunity to reinforce security and stability across Southeast Asia and to foster sustained dialogue, healthy neighbourly ties, and joint progress and prosperity for both nations.

In an official statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs commended international diplomatic contributions, citing the role of US President Donald Trump in helping create conditions conducive to the agreement, and underlining Malaysia’s important part as host and mediator during the talks.

The UAE expressed hope that the accord will deepen cooperation and mutual understanding between Thailand and Cambodia, reaffirmed its strong relations with both countries, and reiterated support for efforts that promote peace, development and regional stability.
