Ahmed Issa Al Hosani, Director General of the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club, has been appointed to the Formula 1 Racing Committee of the International Marine Sports Federation (UIM). This prestigious appointment recognizes his significant contributions to developing Formula 1 powerboat racing both in the UAE and internationally. The announcement was made during the UIM General Assembly meetings in China, highlighting Al Hosani’s reputation and expertise in the global marine sports community.

Al Hosani’s appointment marks a notable Arab and Emirati presence on one of the most important technical committees in Formula 1 powerboat racing, the fastest and one of the most thrilling marine sports worldwide. His role ensures that the UAE has a voice in shaping policies, safety standards, and competitive practices in the sport. Sharjah, in particular, has long been a major hub for Formula 1 powerboat events, hosting the World Championship finals annually at Khalid Lagoon, attracting international attention.
