University Of Sharjah Football Team Prepares For World Cup Success

H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah (UoS), recently met the university’s football team at Expo Centre Sharjah. This meeting was to congratulate and encourage the team, which has earned the opportunity to participate in the University World Cup. The tournament will take place in Dalian, China, from September 17 to 28, and it will feature some of the best university football teams from around the world.

The Deputy Ruler praised the football team for their excellent performance in the local university league. He noted that their victory in the league was a key factor in qualifying for the World Cup. According to him, the team’s dedication, hard work, and discipline both on and off the field were central to their success. He emphasized that the players not only represent their university but also the United Arab Emirates on the international stage.
