Led by Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC) convened on Tuesday at the Ruler’s Office. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi and Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, both Vice Chairmen, were present.
At the meeting’s outset, the Council conveyed Eid Al Adha greetings to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council members, Emirate rulers, Crown Princes, Deputy Rulers, and Muslims universally, wishing peace and prosperity for the Arab and Islamic nations.
The SEC deliberated on and approved amendments to Executive Council Resolution No. 29 of 2025 concerning healthcare regulations in the Emirate of Sharjah.
These updated rules pertain to government health institutions, private healthcare facilities, and free zone medical services, alongside professionals operating within these frameworks.
The modifications aim to enhance the quality and efficiency of healthcare, ensure adherence to laws and regulatory frameworks by providers, and bolster monitoring and regulatory mechanisms. New administrative penalties for violations were introduced to mitigate professional misconduct, safeguard patient rights, and uphold healthcare safety standards throughout the emirate.
Additionally, the Council reviewed a report detailing Sharjah’s general budget performance and outputs for the latter half of 2025. This encompassed various sectors, including social development, governance, infrastructure, capital projects, and economic growth.
The SEC reaffirmed its commitment to supporting government entities in reaching strategic objectives and sanctioned development plans to enhance public service quality.
The report further shed light on revenue and expenditure comparisons for the fiscal year 2025 against the prior year, alongside assessment rates of planned outputs across governmental departments.
Moreover, the Council examined growth indicators across key sectors, reflecting Sharjah’s prudent financial strategies and resource management, aimed at fostering sustainable development and elevating community services.
