Sheikh Khaled Raises UAE Flag at Zayed National Museum

Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, raised the UAE flag at Zayed National Museum to mark UAE Flag Day, celebrated each year on November 3. The national event symbolizes unity, pride, and the enduring values of the UAE’s founding.

During the ceremony, Sheikh Khaled emphasized that UAE Flag Day is not only a celebration but also a reflection of the country’s unity and strength. He said the occasion reinforces the deep sense of belonging and loyalty that Emiratis feel toward their nation and its leadership. The flag, he noted, stands as a powerful symbol of national pride and the collective identity of the people of the UAE.

Sheikh Khaled highlighted the legacy of the UAE’s founding fathers, led by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. He stated that Flag Day is a moment to renew the nation’s commitment to their vision — a vision built on unity, compassion, and development. He said the UAE continues to uphold the values of the Union that have guided the country since its formation.

The Crown Prince expressed that under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE continues to move confidently on its path toward excellence. He said that the country’s progress is guided by strong values, innovation, and a focus on empowering people — the true foundation of the nation’s success. He reaffirmed that Emiratis are at the heart of the UAE’s development journey, serving as architects of the country’s bright future.

Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed noted that the UAE has become a model of global progress, innovation, and sustainability. He said that the nation’s efforts to create a diversified and knowledge-based economy have strengthened its international reputation. The UAE, he added, continues to lead with a vision focused on building a prosperous and sustainable future for generations to come.

The flag-raising ceremony included the playing of the UAE national anthem, symbolizing loyalty and pride in the nation’s achievements. The event was attended by several senior officials, highlighting the importance of unity and collective leadership in shaping the UAE’s future.

Among the attendees were Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court; Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority; Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Chairman of the Department of Community Development; and Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Department of Culture and Tourism.

The ceremony also saw the presence of Sara Awadh Musallam, Chairperson of the Department of Education and Knowledge; Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport; Ahmed Jasim Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Department of Economic Development; and Dr. Abdulla Humaid Al Jarwan, Chairman of the Department of Energy.

In his remarks, Sheikh Khaled reaffirmed the UAE’s dedication to advancing its comprehensive development and maintaining its global position as a beacon of peace, innovation, and opportunity. He said that the flag represents the nation’s unwavering will to continue its journey of growth with determination and unity.

The event concluded with a message of gratitude and pride, as the UAE flag once again flew high above Abu Dhabi’s skyline — a reminder of the nation’s strength, unity, and shared destiny. Sheikh Khaled’s participation at Zayed National Museum reflected the ongoing commitment of the UAE’s leadership to uphold the country’s values, honor its heritage, and inspire its future generations.
