Abu Dhabi will host the second edition of the Abu Dhabi Poetry Festival from 9 to 11 February 2026 at ADNEC Centre, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council. The event is organized by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority.
The festival supports Abu Dhabi’s cultural strategy, aiming to preserve heritage, promote Nabati and Classical Arabic poetry, and position the emirate as a global hub for poets and creative talent.
Visitors can explore a diverse program including the Poetry Bridge, UAE Poetry Map, Young Poet Corner, Emirati Women Poets Corner, Performing Arts Platform, and Poetry Café, along with several themed sections.
The festival will highlight renowned poets, showcase the Emirati poetic landscape, and encourage knowledge exchange among scholars and poetry enthusiasts. It also aims to nurture local and regional poetic talent while promoting literary culture to children and youth.
The first edition attracted over 1,000 poets and researchers and welcomed more than 15,000 visitors, reflecting Abu Dhabi’s growing role in the regional poetry scene.
This edition seeks to engage more participants, introduce new audiences to the world of poetry, and strengthen appreciation for Arabic literary traditions.
