UAE Warriors, the biggest MMA event in the Middle East, brought the excitement over two action-packed nights. History was made as Muhidin Abubaker became the first-ever Somalian champion in MMA, and UFC veteran Tanner Boser made a strong return to the Octagon, securing another TKO finish.

Muhidin Abubaker faced Victor Nunes for the interim bantamweight title at UAE Warriors 60, held at the Space 42 Arena in Abu Dhabi. After five rounds of intense action, mostly on the ground, Abubaker (10-1) won the interim flyweight title, setting up a thrilling fight against Brazil's current champion, Iago Ribeiro (13-3). Nunes (11-6) struggled against Abubaker’s superior ground game, as the London-based fighter showcased his excellent top control and leg-wrapping skills.

The event featured 12 exciting fights with 24 fighters from 17 countries. It was attended by notable figures like Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa bin Shakhbut Al Nahyan, President of the Asian Chess Federation, and Abdel Moneim Al Hashemi, Chairman of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation. Fouad Darwish, CEO of Palms Sports, crowned the champions.

MMA fans can look forward to another thrilling double-header next month with UAE Warriors 61 and 62 on July 23rd and 24th, where even more championships will be up for grabs. Stay tuned to the social media channels for updates and event build-ups!
