The Abu Dhabi Projects and Infrastructure Centre (ADPIC) has officially announced the second edition of the Abu Dhabi Infrastructure Summit (ADIS), scheduled to take place from 12 to 14 May 2026 at the ICC Hall, ADNEC Centre.
Recognised as the emirate’s flagship platform for infrastructure and urban development, ADIS 2026 returns with an expanded format, reflecting rising global demand and a stronger emphasis on large-scale delivery, innovation, and measurable impact.
Held under the theme “Urban Evolution: Rethinking Cities, Redefining How We Live,” the summit will bring together government leaders, global CEOs, developers, investors, and industry innovators. The event aims to accelerate the development of resilient, sustainable, and people-centric urban environments.
A key highlight of the summit is Abu Dhabi’s ambitious $57 billion infrastructure pipeline, which spans housing, transportation, cultural projects, education, and social infrastructure. This positions the emirate as a global benchmark for sustainable urban planning and execution.
According to ADPIC’s Achievement Report, the centre successfully delivered 100 capital projects in 2025, showcasing its capability to execute large-scale developments efficiently.
Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, emphasized that ADIS goes beyond showcasing projects. He stated that the platform highlights how Abu Dhabi plans, designs, and delivers cities focused on enhancing quality of life through integrated planning, advanced mobility, and world-class infrastructure.
He further noted that modern urban challenges demand global collaboration, and Abu Dhabi remains committed to sharing its governance models and best practices with international partners.
With projections indicating that 70% of the global population will live in urban areas by 2050, the urgency for smarter and more sustainable cities continues to grow. Abu Dhabi’s economy reached AED 325.7 billion in Q3 2025, with the construction sector expanding by 13.9% year-on-year, underlining strong growth momentum.
Maysarah Mahmoud Eid, Director-General of ADPIC, highlighted that Abu Dhabi’s success lies not only in its vision but in its execution. He noted that ADIS 2026 will serve as a global platform to bring together partners, investors, and innovators to redefine how cities are planned, financed, and delivered.
The summit will feature a multi-day conference, a dedicated exhibition, and structured business matchmaking sessions. Key focus areas include delivery-driven infrastructure, urban wellbeing, smart technologies, sustainability, and resilience.
For the first time, ADIS will collaborate with the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC), introducing specialized sessions on contracting, dispute avoidance, and resolution practices under the Abu Dhabi Capital Projects Framework. This move highlights the emirate’s commitment to global standards and governance excellence.
Additionally, ADIS 2026 will see increased international participation from Singapore, China, and Türkiye. This expansion builds on the success of ADPIC’s 2025 international roadshows, which resulted in nine Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and over 30 business-to-business meetings.
The summit is expected to strengthen global partnerships, encourage investment, and position Abu Dhabi as a leading hub for future-ready infrastructure and sustainable urban development.
