Abu Dhabi: ADNOC has officially launched its Industrial Resilience Program at the fifth Make it in the Emirates forum. This program features five critical initiatives designed to fortify the UAE’s supply chain, enhance local manufacturing, and promote sustainable industrial growth.
Expanding on its successful In-Country Value (ICV) strategy, the program emphasizes increasing the local production of high-priority products within the UAE. This initiative aims to lessen dependence on international supply chains and safeguard the company from global disruptions.
The company confirmed it will prioritize locally manufactured products for its strategic projects, thereby generating substantial demand for domestic goods and bolstering the capabilities of national manufacturers.
Omar Abdulla Alnuaimi, Acting Group Chief of Commercial and ICV at ADNOC, stated that this initiative aligns with the UAE leadership’s vision of enhancing industrial resilience and expanding local production capabilities. He further mentioned that it will create long-term demand visibility and strengthen the nation’s industrial ecosystem.
The Industrial Resilience Program comprises five main initiatives:
This program is a significant part of the national “Make it in the Emirates” initiative, which aspires to localize vital industries and reinforce the UAE’s industrial foundation.
ADNOC is also making strides toward its objective of producing AED 90 billion worth of goods domestically by the year 2030, including over 150 prioritized items such as drilling equipment, process chemicals, valves, and oil country tubular goods.
As of now, the company has secured agreements exceeding AED 80 billion for locally sourced products. Its partners have also committed AED 4.5 billion to develop new factories and advanced manufacturing facilities within the UAE.
Through its ICV initiative, ADNOC aims to inject AED 220 billion into the UAE economy over the coming five years, further enhancing national economic growth and industrial development.
