Agthia Group has officially launched the Agthia Academy in collaboration with Bühler, a specialized training initiative aimed at nurturing Emirati expertise in food manufacturing, baking, milling, and production across the UAE.
This academy is designed to equip entrepreneurs, operators, and aspiring professionals in the food industry with essential practical skills and global insights that will elevate production standards, enhance operational efficiency, and improve overall manufacturing quality. The initiative further aligns with the UAE's strategic goals for food security by fostering a well-trained local workforce in the food sector.
The launch coincides with Agthia Group's involvement in the Make it in the Emirates 2026 exhibition, where the company showcased its commitment to skills development and industry-driven education. Through this academy, Agthia aims to bolster capabilities across the food value chain while encouraging sustainable growth within the sector.
Salmeen Alameri, Managing Director and CEO of Agthia Group, expressed that the academy signifies the company's dedication to investing in human resources and providing Emirati talent with opportunities to acquire top-tier expertise in food manufacturing.
He emphasized that the program integrates theoretical studies with practical implementation, enabling participants to boost efficiency, productivity, and operational performance while fostering a more robust UAE food economy.
Heiko Feuring, President of Bühler for the Middle East, Africa, and India, added that this partnership will grant participants access to cutting-edge technologies, contemporary manufacturing techniques, and practical industry experience, ultimately nurturing skilled individuals who can drive innovation and accountability in the UAE food sector.
The academy will collaborate closely with esteemed UAE educational institutions, such as United Arab Emirates University, Zayed University, and Abu Dhabi Hospitality Academy – Les Roches. These partnerships aim to enhance academic offerings, facilitate industry-centered training, and create career pathways aligned with global food industry standards.
The program will offer a blend of theoretical instruction, technical training, and international exposure through Agthia’s facilities in Abu Dhabi as well as Bühler’s global training centers in Switzerland.
With this initiative, Agthia Group is poised to reinforce Abu Dhabi's standing as a leading regional hub for cutting-edge food manufacturing, innovation, and specialized education.
