Akshay Kumar Celebrates Niece Simar Bhatia's Entry into Film Industry

Post by : Meena Hassan

Renowned Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar recently took to social media to celebrate a significant milestone in his niece's life, Simar Bhatia, who is making her film debut in Ikkis. Through an emotional post, Akshay reminisced about her transformation from a reserved child to a poised young artist.

In his heartfelt message accompanying Simar's debut poster, he shared, “From cradling you as a baby to now witnessing you embark on your film journey… it's a full-circle moment. Simar, you’ve evolved from a shy girl lurking behind her mother to a confident actress who owns the camera.”

He further motivated her for the road ahead, stating: “The journey may be tough, but I believe in your spark, integrity, and family’s determination. The Bhatia motto is simple: work hard, do it from the heart, and then watch the universe work its magic.”

Ending on a note of familial pride, Akshay added, “I'm immensely proud of you, beta… The world is about to discover Simar Bhatia… but to me, you’ve always been a star. Shine bright! Jai Mahadev.”

Ikkis is an anticipated Bollywood biographical war-drama depicting the life of Arun Khetarpal, the youngest Indian Army officer to receive the Param Vir Chakra posthumously for his valor during the 1971 Battle of Basantar. The film features Agastya Nanda as Arun, with veteran actor Dharmendra in his final role as Arun’s father, Brigadier M. L. Khetarpal. Under the direction of Sriram Raghavan and produced by Maddock Films, Ikkis is set to premiere on 25 December 2025.
