A top team from the Arab Parliament, led by its President Mohammed Ahmed Al Yammahi, recently visited the UAE Floating Hospital in Al Arish. This hospital is part of the UAE’s ongoing humanitarian support for Palestinians, especially those affected by the situation in Gaza.

The delegation took a full tour of the hospital, checking out its different departments and learning about the medical and humanitarian services provided to patients. During the visit, they also met with several Palestinian patients and listened to their stories about the care they’ve received from Emirati medical staff.

The delegation was also given an update on “Operation Chivalrous Knight 3,” which is the UAE’s relief mission in Al Arish. They were informed about how the operation is managed and the types of help being given, such as food supplies, health kits, clothes for children, and other basic needs. The delegates even helped pack some of the aid items during their visit.

Al Yammahi praised the UAE’s strong efforts to support the Palestinian people and ease their suffering. He said that these actions show true Arab values and unity.

The UAE Floating Hospital, which began its work on February 23, 2024, is one of the key parts of “Operation Chivalrous Knight 3.” The hospital offers full medical care to people injured in Gaza. It has expert medical teams and advanced equipment to treat serious injuries and provide mental health support.

The entire operation started on November 5, 2023, following the instructions of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE President. Since then, the UAE has sent more than 70,000 tonnes of aid—including medical supplies, food, and other support—to help Palestinians in need.
