Baahubali: The Epic, a remastered and re-edited single‑film presentation of the famed Baahubali saga, opened theatrically on October 31, 2025. Led by Prabhas and Rana Daggubati, the anniversary release combines both original parts into one continuous narrative to mark the franchise's tenth year.
The film began with roughly ₹1.15 crore on Thursday and then surged to about ₹9.65 crore on Friday, buoyed by fan interest. Weekend receipts stood near ₹7.25 crore on Saturday and ₹6.30 crore on Sunday, producing a three‑day total north of ₹24 crore in the Hindi market.
However, Monday brought a steep fall, with collections sliding to approximately ₹1.65 crore on Day 4 and the India cumulative landing at roughly ₹26 crore. That represents a near‑70% drop from Sunday. Worldwide, the opening weekend is estimated at about ₹39.75 crore, helped by regional language and overseas takings.
The re‑edited release depends heavily on nostalgia and visual scale rather than fresh storytelling, making weekday turnout and word‑of‑mouth pivotal for sustained box office returns.
With new releases arriving and many viewers already familiar with the original films, the next few days—and the first week's tally—will be decisive in determining how well Baahubali: The Epic endures at cinemas.
