Bahrain Downs Missiles, Drones Amid Attacks

Post by : Bianca Haleem

Bahrain has reported a massive wave of aerial threats since the start of Iranian attacks, with its defense systems successfully intercepting 188 ballistic missiles and 445 drones targeting the country. The interceptions were carried out by the Bahrain Defence Force, highlighting the intensity of the ongoing regional tensions.

In an official statement released through the Bahrain News Agency, the military confirmed that all incoming threats were neutralized before causing significant damage. The swift response of Bahrain’s air defense systems prevented potential casualties and protected civilian infrastructure from large-scale destruction.

The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force strongly condemned the use of ballistic missiles and drones targeting civilian areas and private property. It described such actions as a clear violation of international humanitarian law and the principles of the United Nations Charter.

Officials further warned that these indiscriminate attacks pose a serious threat to regional peace and stability. The situation has raised alarms across the Gulf region, with growing concerns about escalation and its potential impact on global security and energy supply routes.
