A distressing case has emerged from Bengaluru Rural, where a woman from West Bengal was reportedly gang-raped and robbed in her home at Gangondanahalli. The incident, which has raised significant alarm regarding safety in the community, occurred between 9:15 pm and midnight on Tuesday when five men allegedly broke into the residence occupied by six individuals. This gang-rape and robbery incident has ignited public outrage, prompting local officials to advocate for stringent measures against the assailants to safeguard citizens.

The police were alerted at 12:30 am by the survivor's elder son, prompting a rapid response from senior authorities. Bengaluru Rural Superintendent of Police CK Baba confirmed that the suspects not only committed sexual violence but also stole two mobile devices and Rs 25,000 from the residence. The case has gained immediate attention from both law enforcement and social activists, demanding a prompt investigation and enhanced preventive measures.

Fortunately, the survivor, residing in the area with two other women, two adults, and two children, is reported to be out of immediate danger. Local inhabitants have voiced growing concerns regarding the rising incidence of violent assaults such as this in Bengaluru Rural.

As of now, three suspects—identified as Kartik, Glen, and Suoyg—have been apprehended, while two others are still at large.
