Eid Al Etihad: A Celebration of UAE's Strength and Unity

Post by : Bianca Haleem

On Monday, the UAE celebrated its 54th Eid Al Etihad with festivities that resonated throughout Dubai, showcasing a revitalized sense of national spirit and the core values that have guided the country since its inception. This significant day, commemorated on December 2, united the nation in honoring the vision that transformed seven emirates into a cohesive entity.

Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, remarked that the day reminds us of the resolve exhibited by the Founding Fathers, whose common mission laid the foundation for a nation that prioritizes its people, opportunities, and a forward-thinking approach.

This year's theme, “United,” was prominently displayed across cultural venues, community events, and public gatherings, representing the UAE's enduring commitment to solidarity. Institutions nationwide showcased the country’s advancements, emphasizing the harmony and collective spirit that continue to characterize the Emirati identity.

Sheikha Latifa expressed that unity serves as the cornerstone of the UAE's strength, steering its development from the early days of the Union to its current active role on the global landscape. She highlighted that the nation's accomplishments are deeply embedded in shared aspirations and a collective vision for a hopeful future.

As the celebrations proceeded, the observance of Eid Al Etihad emerged as a powerful reminder of the UAE's storied past and its ongoing journey, defined by unity, resilience, and national pride.
