Salim and Salma Khan Celebrate 61 Years Together

Post by : Meena Hassan

This past Monday, Bollywood’s legendary screenwriter Salim Khan and his wife Salma Khan, also known as Sushila Charak, marked their 61st wedding anniversary. The festive evening saw close family and friends come together, with joyful moments from the event trending on social media.

Salman Khan made a charming entrance, greeting the photographers with a warm smile. He was accompanied by his stepmother, the iconic actress Helen, who elegantly posed for pictures. Alvira, the couple's daughter, along with her husband Atul Agnihotri and their daughter Alizeh, were also present at this special occasion.

Among the other guests were Salman Khan's bodyguard Shera, Aayush Sharma, Sonakshi Sinha, and Zaheer Iqbal—friends who share a close relationship with the Khan family.

Salim Khan is celebrated for his contributions to Hindi cinema, having penned classics such as Sholay and Zanjeer. He and Salma share four children—Salman, Arbaaz, Sohail, and Alvira—along with an adopted daughter, Arpita.

In a notable chapter of his life, Salim Khan married the talented dancer-actress Helen in 1981. He referred to their relationship as an “emotional accident,” which was shared openly with his children before their marriage, highlighting a commitment to respect and love for both families.

The bond among Salim Khan, Helen, and Salma Khan is evident as they frequently celebrate festivals and family milestones together. Their 61st anniversary celebration notably showcased the warmth and unity of one of Bollywood’s most celebrated families, delighting fans with affectionate glimpses of the joyful occasion.
