Dubai Offers Complimentary Parking During Eid Al Etihad

Post by : Bianca Haleem

Motorists in Dubai can look forward to three days of free public parking as the city prepares for the Eid Al Etihad festivities. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has declared that all paid parking zones—except for the Al Khail Gate N365 zone and multi-level terminals—will not incur fees on December 1 and 2, adding to the already free Sunday. Thus, residents will enjoy an extended parking-free weekend. Normal parking meter operations will resume on December 3.

During the two-day holiday, RTA’s customer happiness and vehicle testing centres will be closed. Nevertheless, Smart Customer Happiness Centres located in Umm Ramool, Deira, Al Barsha, Al Twar, and RTA Headquarters will remain open 24/7, ensuring digital services are uninterrupted.

Public transport will operate on special schedules during the holidays. The Red and Green Lines of the Dubai Metro will run from 5:00 am to 1:00 am on November 29, December 1 and 2, while the weekend of November 30 will see operations from 8:00 am to 1:00 am. The tram service will follow similar adjustments, starting at 6:00 am on November 29 and December 1–2, and from 9:00 am on November 30.

The S’hail app will provide real-time updates on bus service alterations, allowing users to track their routes. Marine transport passengers can also find updated schedules on the official platform.

With extended public transport hours and ample free parking, Dubai aims to facilitate smooth mobility for residents and visitors throughout the long weekend.
