CMA Concludes Inaugural Winter Media Camp in Al Ain

Post by : Bianca Haleem

The Creative Media Authority (CMA) has successfully wrapped up the inaugural Winter Media Camp in Al Ain, establishing a significant step towards fostering young creative talent in the emirate.

Conducted from 8 to 12 December at Qattara Arts Centre, the camp was offered in Arabic, aimed at introducing children to a range of creative media fields. This immersive program facilitated a learning atmosphere that stimulated creativity, imagination, and practical exploration through age-appropriate activities.

The Al Ain camp engaged 31 children, aged between 8 and 12, providing them with early insights into storytelling, visual arts, and interactive creative disciplines. Through guided sessions, participants developed foundational skills while exploring their creative avenues in an encouraging environment.

The initiative was conducted in collaboration with several partners alongside Creative Lab, the CMA's talent development division. Activities featured a storytelling workshop by Sandstorm Studio, a short story writing course by Abu Dhabi Media Network – Majid, alongside various creative sessions at Qattara Arts Centre, focusing on Arabic calligraphy, illustration, and bubble painting.

Part of CMA's ongoing mission to cultivate Abu Dhabi-based creative talent from a young age, this camp marks the program’s expansion into Al Ain for its fifth edition in 2025. This underscores CMA's commitment to broadening access to creative learning opportunities throughout the emirate and inspiring future generations to explore careers in creative industries.
