Ranveer Singh’s exciting spy thriller Dhurandhar is emerging as one of the major box office triumphs of the year. Even after its two-week run in cinemas, the film shows no signs of waning. On its 15th day in theaters, Dhurandhar has surpassed the notable ₹470 crore milestone, reaffirming its strong connection with audiences nationwide.
Directed by Aditya Dhar and released on December 5, the film received mixed reviews from critics but gained significant momentum through word of mouth and dedicated fan support. The combination of packed theaters, returning viewers, and high weekend attendance has firmly placed the film in the blockbuster category.
As per the latest updates from industry tracker Sacnilk, Dhurandhar amassed around ₹11.69 crore by Friday evening, bringing its total earnings to approximately ₹472.19 crore in just 15 days. Market experts anticipate the film will reach ₹480 crore by the day’s end, marking another achievement.
The film had a particularly robust opening week, grossing ₹207.25 crore in the first seven days, outpacing the Hindi version record of Pushpa 2, which had earned ₹196.50 crore during the same time. What surprised many was the film’s remarkable growth into its second week. Instead of tapering off, Dhurandhar earned around ₹253.25 crore, a commendable feat in today’s cinema landscape.
Now entering its third week, the film still attracts viewers, though it faces upcoming challenges from the major Hollywood release, Avatar: Fire and Ash. Directed by James Cameron, this film is anticipated to pull in large audiences. All eyes are focused on Dhurandhar to see if it can sustain its remarkable performance.
Dhurandhar, a gripping spy thriller primarily set in Pakistan, features Ranveer Singh in the role of an Indian spy who infiltrates terror networks within the Lyari region. The narrative combines action, suspense, and emotional depth, resonating well with its audience. The film also includes notable performances from R Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and Sara Arjun, enhancing its cast further.
The project is produced by Jio Studios, headed by Jyoti Deshpande, in collaboration with Aditya and Lokesh Dhar’s B62 Studios. It marks the first installment of a two-part series. The storyline centers around Singh’s character, Hamza Ali Mazari, who is later unveiled as Jaskirat Singh Rangi, an undercover agent operating deep within enemy lines. The sequels have already been confirmed for release on March 19, 2026.
With impressive earnings, consistent audience engagement, and a sequel already lined up, Dhurandhar has undoubtedly established itself as one of the standout Hindi films of 2025. Its ongoing box office success reflects not just the star’s appeal but also the audience’s growing demand for large-scale, narrative-driven action cinema.
