dnata Enhances Operations at Dubai Airshow 2025 with Extensive Ground Support

Post by : Bianca Haleem

Dubai, UAE – At the Dubai Airshow 2025, dnata showcases its operational expertise with more than 100 ground support vehicles ensuring the safe and efficient movement of aircraft during both static and flying displays at Dubai World Central (DWC).

Approximately 111 motorised assets are in place, including aircraft pushback tractors, ground power units, passenger steps, and air conditioning units, all crucial for facilitating seamless operations throughout the showcase.

Managing such a prominent event necessitates careful logistical planning. dnata effectively transports heavy ground equipment between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and DWC, all while maintaining uninterrupted airport operations, utilizing its fleet of articulated trucks and low-bed trailers complemented by logistics support.

The Airshow illustrates dnata's dedication to sustainability. As part of the oneDXB Sustainability Alliance, the company features 14 vehicles in a sustainability-focused display, such as electric pushback tractors, loaders, passenger steps, and a solar-powered boarding ramp, many of which are operational in Dubai, significantly reducing emissions and fuel consumption.

Diversity in innovation is also on display, including autonomous baggage tractors, AI-driven detection cameras enhancing loader safety, and autonomous docking systems specifically designed for larger aircraft such as the A380. These technologies are either in live use or trial stages, showcasing how practical innovation can elevate safety and operational efficiency.

dnata's involvement comes alongside promising global performance reports. In the first half of 2025, the company recorded 450,903 aircraft turns—a 15% year-over-year increase—and processed 1.59 million tonnes of cargo, witnessing a 3% rise. Additionally, dnata has allocated $110 million this year for fleet expansion across various markets, including the UAE, USA, Brazil, Italy, and Singapore.

Through the integration of electric, hybrid, and bio-diesel technologies, dnata is progressively moving towards lower-carbon operations, effectively balancing environmental objectives with the high demands of the Dubai climate.

dnata's participation at the Dubai Airshow 2025 underscores its commitment to operational precision and a visionary stance on sustainable aviation, affirming its status as a global leader in ground support services.
