Drydocks World Kicks Off Construction of New Headquarters in Dubai

Post by : Bianca Haleem

Drydocks World has commenced the construction of its new headquarters in Dubai, aimed at revolutionizing its operations and reinforcing the maritime industry in the city. This facility is expected to be completed by early 2027, bringing together nearly 700 staff under one roof to improve collaboration, communication, and productivity within the company.

Covering 44,779 square metres on a 13,390-square-metre site adjacent to the current shipyard, the contemporary office is strategically located for easy access while being distanced from high-traffic fabrication areas. Visitors and clients will benefit from direct entry via Jumeirah Beach Road, ensuring both convenience and safety.

With a focus on sustainability, the headquarters is pursuing LEED Gold certification, incorporating energy-efficient technologies, smart ventilation systems, advanced safety measures, and 50 charging stations for electric vehicles among its 500 parking spaces. Features like open-plan workstations, multi-use halls, dining options, fitness centers, and prayer rooms are designed to promote a harmonious work environment.

This new facility complements DP World’s headquarters currently being built at Expo City Dubai. Together, these initiatives underscore a broader commitment to developing innovative, sustainable workplaces across the organization.

Drydocks World’s growth reflects its longstanding role in enhancing Dubai’s maritime sector, involved in intricate ship repair, conversion, and offshore undertakings. The new headquarters symbolizes a forward-thinking direction towards operational efficiency, innovation, and sustainable development in the UAE.
