Tomorrow marks the commencement of the Dubai Future Forum 2025 at the Museum of the Future, bringing together 2,500 futurists and leaders from 100 prominent global organizations. Under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, this significant event is organized by the Dubai Future Foundation and takes place from November 18 to 19.
This year's Forum features over 200 speakers presenting 70 sessions organized around five primary themes: Exploring the Unknown, Empowering Societies, Reimagining Health, Optimising Systems, and Foresight Insights. These discussions aim to offer insights on how rapid global shifts, emerging technologies, and new societal problems are reshaping our future.
A new highlight is the introduction of Learning Days on November 17 and 20, offering sessions designed in collaboration with both regional and international institutions. Topics include foresight and global security, strategic philanthropy, wearable technologies, urban resilience, and the future of media. Additionally, closed-door roundtables and symposiums will promote deeper understanding of emerging challenges and opportunities.
In a related event, Arab News and the Dubai Future Foundation held a special media roundtable tackling how global media can navigate rapid technological changes. Key points discussed included the essential role of trust, responsible tech use, and policy in the era of AI.
The Forum will also host panels organized by international partners focusing on global security and philanthropy's next wave of impact-driven initiatives. Sessions dedicated to wearable technologies will discuss the transition from research to practical applications, and urban resilience discussions will dive into strategies for cities responding to climate challenges.
The first day will commence with a keynote address from Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of Dubai Future Foundation. This will be followed by influential sessions featuring Mastercard CEO Michael Miebach and UAE Minister of State for AI, Omar Sultan Al Olama. Topics range from fostering regenerative societies to understanding what defines a futurist today.
Simultaneously, the Prototypes for Humanity – Dubai Future Solutions Exhibition 2025 has launched at AREA 2071 in Emirates Towers. The exhibition showcases 100 projects selected from over 3,000 submissions worldwide, with five innovators set to be awarded support to further their initiatives.
The Forum will also unveil the inaugural Dubai Foresight Awards, celebrating global pioneers in three categories: Foresight Change Makers, Foresight for People, and Foresight for the Planet, alongside a Future Stories Awards Ceremony recognizing storytellers who inspire future-focused thinking through creativity.
With support from key partners like Dubai Municipality, Emirates Global Aluminium, and UNICEF, the Dubai Future Forum 2025 emphasizes the city's emerging role as a nucleus for innovation and ideas shaping the future.
