Following the mandate of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Dubai Humanitarian has successfully organized a substantial shipment of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
Utilizing its Global Humanitarian Impact Fund (GHIF), the organization orchestrated the overland transport of 22.3 metric tonnes of vital medical supplies. This shipment, conveyed through a convoy of three trucks, features life-saving contributions from the World Health Organization, aimed at alleviating urgent healthcare shortfalls for around 110,000 individuals affected by the ongoing crisis.
Giuseppe Saba, CEO and Board Member of Dubai Humanitarian, reaffirmed the organization’s unwavering dedication amid global challenges. He noted that the persistent disruptions in supply chains have not slowed their initiatives, as they maintain close collaboration with partners to ensure timely provision of essential assistance.
Saba further emphasized that Dubai Humanitarian remains operational and continues to mobilize resources through its Global Humanitarian Impact Fund, ensuring effective aid delivery, even in complex and high-pressure contexts.
Since the beginning of this year, Dubai Humanitarian and its international partners have rendered support to over 40 countries. This is achieved through expert coordination with governmental bodies, humanitarian agencies, and commercial partners, enabling the effective use of advanced logistics solutions to sustain global humanitarian supply chains.
With these efforts, Dubai solidifies its reputation as a pivotal global hub for humanitarian responses, promptly ensuring that critical aid reaches those in need.
