New Initiative by Dubai Police Enhances Inmate Fitness

Post by : Raina Al-Fahim

Dubai Police recently launched a fitness initiative named 'Fitness Zone 2025', focused on improving both the physical and mental health of inmates. This program precedes the Dubai 30X30 fitness challenge, showcasing a commitment to rehabilitation through fitness and health.

The inaugural group of 47 inmates, identified as overweight, will engage in customized fitness plans aimed at boosting their health and preparing them for reintegration into society as healthy, active individuals. Officials at Dubai Police stressed the importance of fitness in encouraging positive behavior and enhancing mental resilience among inmates.

Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Abdullah Al Obaidli noted that the initiative strives to instill daily fitness habits, elevate physical health, and improve overall mental well-being. He further stated that the Dubai Police is dedicated to offering a well-rounded rehabilitative atmosphere, emphasizing health, education, and behavioral growth, rather than solely focusing on security.

Organized by the General Department of Punitive and Correctional Institutions, this initiative works in collaboration with the Rehabilitation and Readiness Centre, the Dubai Police Health Centre, and the General Department of Training.

This program exemplifies Dubai Police's ongoing mission to enhance rehabilitation by integrating fitness with health and behavioral development, striving to transform inmates’ lives into a more positive and health-conscious future.
