Dubai Police has been recognized as the most reputable police force globally, according to a recent study by Brand Finance. The force was ranked at the top of the Institutional Brand Value Index, receiving a AAA+ rating and an impressive score of 9.2 out of 10. This ranking is the result of a comprehensive study across 10 countries, which involved feedback from over 8,000 individuals.
The study evaluated the police force’s performance based on several factors, including professionalism, integrity, effectiveness, fairness, and transparency. It highlighted the strong community trust in Dubai Police, as well as its ethical conduct. The force’s clear communication, innovative service delivery, and positive presence in the media have helped build its global reputation.
In addition, the study revealed that Dubai Police plays a crucial role in boosting the UAE’s soft power. The force has a brand value of AED57.9 billion ($15.8 billion), contributing significantly to the overall national brand value of AED4.48 trillion ($1.2 trillion), according to Brand Finance’s National Brand Report.
Dubai Police outperformed leading global police forces in all 11 reputation criteria. Key areas where the force excelled included fair treatment of individuals, commitment and integrity, safety and security assurance, ethical conduct, professional engagement, effective duty performance, and its positive presence on social media. It also performed well in areas such as innovation in crime prevention, modernity, progressive development, and operational field presence.
Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, the Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, expressed his gratitude towards the UAE leadership for their continued support and strategic guidance. He stated, “This recognition reflects the trust placed in police institutions across the UAE and highlights Dubai Police’s commitment to public safety, wellbeing, and quality of life.”
Al Marri also emphasized how Dubai Police has evolved from traditional policing to a more modern and intelligent force, incorporating advanced technologies like artificial intelligence. He credited the force’s success to several key initiatives, including the Smart Police Stations (SPS), the UAE SWAT Challenge, community engagement programs, e-sports tournaments, and the ‘Esaad’ programme. “Dubai Police is more than just a law enforcement agency; it is a strategic partner in building a secure, advanced, and sustainable society,” he added.
David Haigh, CEO and Chairman of Brand Finance, highlighted the importance of public perception in shaping behavior and stated that the study is highly valuable for government policymakers and destination marketing organizations worldwide.
