Dubai Unveils Exciting 2026 Retail Calendar

Post by : Bianca Haleem

Dubai has officially launched its vibrant 2026 Retail Calendar, celebrating a decade of remarkable festivals, significant sales, cultural displays, and community festivities. This new itinerary underscores Dubai’s reputation as a premier shopping, entertainment, and tourism destination, with an impressive 18 major events scheduled throughout the year.

This announcement follows a record-breaking 2025, which saw the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) rewarding more than AED 50 million in prizes across nearly 300 raffles, along with the Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) that witnessed an exceptional 110% increase in average spending, as per DFRE surveys. With over 1,000 brands and 4,000 outlets anticipated to join, the upcoming year aims to foster greater engagement and enhance foot traffic across the emirate.

The 2026 calendar kicks off with the DSF, which will run from December 5, 2025, to January 11, 2026. Now in its 31st edition, this festival promises exclusive discounts, global brand launches, musical performances, and an upgraded aerial show featuring over 1,000 drones. Notable favorites like e& MOTB and DSF x Hatta will enhance the festival’s appeal from urban centers to outdoor attractions.

February will welcome the lively celebration of Chinese New Year, followed by the Spring/Summer phase of Dubai Fashion Season, granting early access to collections from both global and local designers. Mid-February through March will spotlight Ramadan and Eid in Dubai with evening markets, cultural events, and family-friendly promotions.

Digital shoppers can look forward to the Great Online Sale, a three-day event featuring discounts of up to 95% across popular categories, while May will host the expanding Dubai Esports and Games Festival. The 2025 edition attracted 45,000 attendees and 3.8 million online participants; the 2026 event is set to elevate these numbers further with extensive tournaments, cosplay sessions, and industry gatherings.

Eid Al Adha will usher in cultural exhibits and shopping promotions, leading into the citywide 3-Day Super Sales held biannually. The summer will be highlighted by the Dubai Summer Surprises from July 3 to August 30, featuring Modesh World, major raffles, Back-to-School initiatives, and a novel Great Dubai Summer Sale aimed at enhancing value shopping during the travel peak.

As autumn arrives, the Dubai Home Festival will run from October 16 to November 1, offering fantastic deals on home décor and innovations. Following this, Dubai will celebrate Diwali with illuminated streets, fireworks, and a surge in demand for gold and festive clothing.

The city will also commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Dubai Fitness Challenge from October 31 to November 29, encouraging both residents and tourists to engage in various fitness activities across parks, malls, and beaches. The year concludes with UAE National Day festivities from November 30 to December 3, featuring spectacular fireworks, patriotic presentations, and related retail promotions.

With its detailed timeline and eclectic programming, the 2026 Retail Calendar offers a roadmap for shoppers, businesses, and visitors to strategize for the year. Retailers can align their promotions with these official events and sign up via DET Connect to take advantage of marketing opportunities, competitions, and citywide promotions.

This latest release marks a decade of advancement for the Retail Calendar since its 2017 launch, reinforcing the emirate’s status as a global retail and lifestyle leader while paving the way for another year of impactful consumer engagement across all sectors.
