Post by : Bianca Haleem

Dubai: The hospitality arm of Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) reported outstanding growth in 2025, welcoming 1.28 million visitors throughout 2,578 events, which reflects a significant 37% increase from the 930,000 guests recorded in 2024.

These remarkable numbers further establish DWTC Hospitality's status as a premier provider of extensive and tailored catering services for government and corporate clientele, as well as individual clients across the area.

Extensive Reach Across Key Venues

DWTC Hospitality has broadened its operations at vital locations such as the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, Dubai Exhibition Centre, and Jafza One Convention Centre.

Beyond its primary venues, the division also coordinated numerous off-site and private events within the UAE, illustrating its ability to adapt and manage a wide array of hospitality endeavors.

Leadership Insight

Mahir Julfar, Executive Vice President at DWTC, pointed out the division's vital role in reinforcing Dubai’s event landscape. He stressed the commitment to providing top-tier service while scaling to meet the growing international demand.

Julfar also highlighted ongoing investments in infrastructure and talent as well as enhanced multi-venue capabilities and the expansion of Dubai Exhibition Centre, which will fortify Dubai’s global standing in hosting significant events.

Catering for Exhibitions Experiences Major Growth

Exhibition catering emerged as a leading sector in 2025, with visitor numbers surpassing 240,000, doubling from 120,000 in 2024.

This success stemmed from major events like Gulfood, World Health Expo Dubai, Arabian Travel Market, and GITEX Global.

The division also demonstrated its ability to operate beyond borders by supporting GITEX Africa, further showcasing its international reach.

Strong Performance in Conferences and Business Gatherings

The segment dedicated to conferences, associations, and business meetings performed well, with over 123,000 attendees, marking Dubai’s expansion as a prominent destination for high-caliber business gatherings.

Corporate and Private Events Keep Growing

Events for corporate and private sectors remained robust, serving more than 600,000 guests, a rise from 400,000 in 2024.

The wedding sector also performed notably well, accommodating 56,554 guests, a testament to DWTC Hospitality’s capability to curate both grand and personalized events.

Venue Expansion Increases Capacity

The continuous development of venues such as Dubai Exhibition Centre and Jafza One Convention Centre greatly contributed, hosting over 80,000 guests collectively.

This multipronged venue strategy allows DWTC to manage a rising number of events while upholding high standards of service.

Off-Site Catering Experiences Steady Growth

Off-site operations grew by 12%, serving over 160,000 guests across 1,211 events.

DWTC Hospitality played a key role in significant events such as the Dubai International Boat Show, Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Dubai World Cup, MEBAA Show, and various occasions at Ain Dubai.

Looking to the future, DWTC Hospitality is set to elevate event hospitality through investments in culinary creativity, sustainability, and enduring partnerships.

As Dubai's events market becomes increasingly competitive, the division is committed to a central role in driving the Emirate's next growth phase, reinforcing its position as a global hub for business and premier events.
