Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat Shows Strong Performance, Collects ₹16.5 Cr

Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa’s romantic drama, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, is making waves at the box office. Released during the Diwali period, the film debuted impressively, grossing over ₹9 crore net on its opening day.

Despite stiff competition from the horror-comedy Thamma, directed by Milap Zaveri, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat maintained its box office momentum, earning ₹7.50 crore net on Wednesday. This shows a mere 16.6% decline following the festival, notably lower than the 25% dip seen by Thamma during the same timeframe. In total, the film has earned ₹16.50 crore net over its first two days and is projected to surpass ₹50 crore by the end of its six-day opening weekend—a commendable achievement for a low-budget film lacking star-studded casts.

The film is helmed by Milap Zaveri and features Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa in the lead roles, alongside notable performances from Shaad Randhawa, Sachin Khedekar, and Ananth Narayan Mahadevan.

In a standout promotional effort, Harshvardhan Rane personally engaged with the audience by selling tickets at the box office, applying stickers across Mumbai, and encouraging viewers to attend showings.

With consistent post-Diwali earnings and favorable audience feedback, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat is poised for continued success at the box office, proving that engaging storytelling, strategic timing, and effective marketing can lead to a film's triumph, even without a star-laden cast.
