Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat Day 4: Box Office Achieves ₹28.25 Crore

Post by : Meena Hassan

The romantic drama, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, featuring Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa, has pleasantly surprised box office analysts with its performance. Debuted during the Diwali festivities, the film began strongly and has managed to sustain its revenue without significant drops—a common challenge for mid-range budget films.

Accruing ₹22.75 crore in just three days, the film added ₹5.5 crore on its fourth day, resulting in a total of ₹28.25 crore from domestic earnings. With a budget of ₹25 crore, this success indicates that Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat has already recouped its costs and is on track for profitability as the weekend unfolds.

Facing off against Maddock Films’ Thamma, featuring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna, this romantic saga has surpassed typical expectations. Although Thamma had a larger budget and fewer screens, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat showcased notable audience appeal.

Directed by Milap Zaveri, the film stars Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa, supported by a cast including Shaad Randhawa, Sachin Khedekar, and Ananth Narayan Mahadevan. Its narrative explores a romantic voyage filled with emotional depth and intricate relationships, targeting viewers seeking a blend of love and drama during the festival.

While critics have given mixed to negative feedback—citing clichés and melodramatic elements—social media reactions have leaned toward a positive reception. Issues such as perceived misogyny and the glorification of toxic masculinity have also surfaced online, yet the film remains buoyant at the box office.

The encouraging word-of-mouth and the holiday weekend promise an upward trend in earnings. Analysts forecast that this film might conclude its theatrical journey with notable profits, marking it as one of the standout mid-budget successes of this Diwali season.

This film's success underlines a significant trend: content-focused mid-budget productions can outperform larger films when storytelling resonates with viewers, regardless of critical reception.

Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat illustrates that well-timed releases, relatable narratives, and star power can greatly enhance box office achievements, paving the way for future romantic drama filmmakers.
