In a prestigious ceremony at Thumbay Grounds in Thumbay Medicity, Gulf Medical University (GMU) proudly celebrated the graduation of 630 students from various health disciplines, attended by H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman. This event, part of the Convocation 2025, signifies GMU’s dedication to fostering skilled healthcare professionals.
Sheikh Ammar emphasized the importance of supporting educational institutions as a fundamental aspect of national growth, aligning with the UAE leadership’s vision to invest in talent. He highlighted the critical role of innovative and excellence-driven education in cultivating a knowledge-based economy capable of adapting to global advancements.
The Crown Prince commended GMU for its commitment to producing competent medical professionals ready to serve communities. He recognized the university’s leading programs and partnerships designed to arm graduates with essential knowledge, clinical expertise, and innovative thinking. He congratulated the graduates for their essential contributions to the UAE's healthcare sector and beyond.
Degrees were conferred to students from diverse programs including medicine, dentistry, nursing, and healthcare management. The ceremony was a celebration of the graduates' perseverance, attended by faculty, healthcare leaders, and proud family members.
Dr. Thumbay Moideen, Founder President of Thumbay Group, celebrated the graduates and highlighted GMU’s expanding academic and clinical environment supported by Thumbay Medicity’s advanced facilities. He underscored the importance of practical experience in preparing students for real-world challenges.
Prof. Manda Venkatramana, Chancellor of GMU, acknowledged the hard work of the graduates and expressed thanks to parents, faculty, and mentors for their significant contributions in shaping a new generation of healthcare leaders.
