Tragic Death of Kerala Teen in Dubai High-Rise Incident

Post by : Raina Al-Fahim

DUBAI — A heartbreaking incident unfolded in Dubai's Deira district as 19-year-old Mohammed Mishaal, originally from Kozhikode, Kerala, fell from the roof of a tall building. Having spent the last 15 days visiting his cousins in the UAE, he was taken to Rashid Hospital but tragically passed away shortly after his arrival.

Known for his adventurous spirit, family friends recounted how Mishaal attempted to climb the building. Unfortunately, he lost his footing after getting caught between two pipes, resulting in the fatal fall.

“He was here visiting his cousins while his family remained back in Kozhikode. This is a devastating loss for them,” shared family friend Haneefa K K. Mishaal was studying civil engineering in Kozhikode and is mourned by his parents and his two sisters.

This tragic event raises awareness about the risks associated with high-rise living for young adults. Earlier this year, the UAE witnessed another fatal fall, with 17-year-old Alex Binoy losing his life in Abu Dhabi in April.

Currently, authorities are finalizing legal procedures, and plans are underway to return Mishaal’s body to Kerala. This accident has deeply affected his family and local community, underscoring the critical need for heightened safety measures in multi-story buildings.
