His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Amir of Qatar, met with several world leaders during the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit in Egypt. The meetings included heads of state, government officials, and delegations from friendly and brotherly nations to discuss key regional and international matters.

Meetings with Middle East Leaders

HH the Amir met with HM King Abdullah II of Jordan, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt, and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Türkiye. Discussions focused on strengthening bilateral ties, promoting regional peace, and coordinating efforts to address ongoing challenges in the Middle East.

Engagement with European Leaders

The Amir also met with European leaders including President Emmanuel Macron of France, Prime Minister Keir Starmer of the UK, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni of Italy, and Chancellor Friedrich Merz of Germany. They exchanged views on international cooperation, development initiatives, and measures to support global stability.

Focus on Gaza Ceasefire and Humanitarian Aid

A major topic of discussion during these meetings was the agreement to end the war in Gaza. HH the Amir and other leaders reviewed ways to ensure the flow of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip and coordinated on strategies to promote peace and security in the region.

Strengthening International Cooperation

The discussions also explored ways to support and strengthen cooperation among nations in various fields. This included enhancing diplomatic, economic, and cultural partnerships to address common challenges and encourage sustainable development worldwide.

The Amir was accompanied by Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Chief of the Amiri Diwan HE Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi, and other senior officials and members of the official delegation. Their presence ensured smooth coordination and follow-up on the outcomes of the meetings.
