Kajol and Twinkle Discuss Cheating: Social Media Erupts

Post by : Meena Hassan

The celebrity talk show Two Much, hosted by Kajol and Twinkle Khanna, recently ignited a heated discussion regarding relationships after a playful chat veered into the realm of infidelity. Joined by Karan Johar and Janhvi Kapoor, the episode prompted significant online debate surrounding love, compatibility, and the moral complexities that accompany contemporary relationships.

During the segment titled “This or That,” Twinkle presented a question on whether love or compatibility holds more value in a marriage. While Janhvi and Twinkle favored love, Kajol insisted that compatibility is essential for any lasting relationship. The discourse intensified when the topic shifted to cheating.

Twinkle queried whether emotional cheating is more grievous than physical cheating. Janhvi was clear that she found both unacceptable, deeming physical betrayal a deal breaker. In contrast, Twinkle handled the subject lightly, remarking, “Raat gayi baat gayi.” Kajol and Karan appeared to share a more lenient viewpoint toward physical infidelity.

Further fueling the discussion, an old clip featuring Deepika Padukone resurfaced, in which she elaborated on the nuances of infidelity during a roundtable discussion:

“A lot of times people make the choices that they do for various reasons…if you put yourself in the shoes of a therapist, you start looking at it very differently. This is not to say that I’m okay with it or not. There are just far too many factors involved.”

Social media responses erupted swiftly, with mixed opinions. Some maintained that infidelity should never be condoned, while others suggested that the lifestyle of celebrities, marked by constant scrutiny and temptation, complicates issues of loyalty. One user noted, “If you respect your partner, you don’t cheat. Fame just gives them more excuses.”

As moral discussions surrounding forgiveness and the dynamics of emotional versus physical cheating evolve online, the recent episode of Two Much and Deepika’s reflections have contributed to an ongoing conversation about modern partnerships.
