Starring Suriya, Karuppu has quickly become one of the standout Tamil films of 2026. This fantasy action drama has crossed the ₹100 crore milestone at the Indian box office within merely six days of its release.

Under the direction of RJ Balaji, the film amassed ₹10.3 crore on its sixth day in India. Key earnings were driven by Tamil screenings, contributing ₹8.55 crore, while the Telugu dubbed variant added ₹1.75 crore to the overall total.

Opening on May 15 with an impressive ₹15.5 crore on its first day, the film saw significant growth over the weekend, earning ₹24.15 crore on day two and ₹28.35 crore on day three. Even with a slight drop during weekdays, the film managed to hold steady at the box office.

Estimates from trade suggest the film secured ₹14.3 crore on day four and ₹12.75 crore on day five, along with another ₹10.3 crore on Wednesday. This brings the total net collection in India to ₹105.35 crore.

Internationally, the film has also drawn a positive response. On its sixth day, Karuppu earned nearly ₹3 crore overseas, bringing its global gross to around ₹54 crore and the worldwide total close to ₹176 crore.

Occupancy rates for the Tamil version have remained robust throughout the day, particularly during night shows, with an impressive audience turnout of nearly 47 percent. The Telugu version also experienced steady attendance, especially in the afternoon and evening slots.

In addition to Suriya, the cast includes Trisha Krishnan, Indrans, Natty Subramaniam, and Swasika in pivotal roles. Strong word-of-mouth and positive audience feedback continue to propel the film's successful box office journey.
