Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau Make Romance Public on Instagram

Post by : Meena Hassan

Pop superstar Katy Perry and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau have finally confirmed their relationship via social media after persistent speculation. Perry took to Instagram to share a collection of photos and videos featuring the couple enjoying sushi and smiling together during their visit to Japan.

Her post, captioned “tokyo times on tour and more” alongside heart and flower emojis, includes snapshots that highlight their joyful moments. A recent image showing the couple holding hands has intensified the belief that their romance is now official.

Additionally, Trudeau shared a post on X (previously Twitter) featuring the couple alongside Japan’s former Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his wife, Yuko. He remarked, “Great to see you @kishida230. Katy and I enjoyed the opportunity to meet with you and Yuko.”

Fan reactions have poured in online, with one expressing, “OH CANADA!!! MAKING IT OFFICIAL!!!” while another said, “Your happiness is our happiness. Sending all the love your way!”

Romance rumors first began in July when the two were spotted dining in Montreal, followed by Trudeau’s spirited participation at one of Perry's concerts. Their first public appearance as a couple occurred in October in Paris, where they celebrated Perry’s 41st birthday, hand in hand after a cabaret performance.

Trudeau served as Canada’s Prime Minister from 2015 until 2025 and led the Liberal Party before announcing his resignation this year. Meanwhile, Perry, a 13-time Grammy nominee, has released several hit albums including California Gurls, Hot n Cold, and Roar.
