Khazna Expands UAE Data Centres to 650MW, Powers AI Future

Khazna Data Centres has reached a total operational and under-construction capacity of approximately 650 megawatts (MW) in the UAE. This includes existing facilities as well as ongoing projects aimed at enhancing the nation’s digital infrastructure.

Current Operational Facilities

Abdulmajeed Harmoodi, Chief Technology Officer, said that Khazna currently operates strategic data centres in Dubai and Abu Dhabi with a combined capacity of 250MW. These centres provide advanced digital solutions for AI-driven applications and other high-demand computing needs.

Expanding Capacity with New Projects

Projects under construction are expected to add another 400MW, further strengthening the UAE’s position as a global technology hub. These developments aim to support the country’s growing digital economy and enable seamless integration of AI technologies.

Driving the UAE’s AI Ambitions

Harmoodi highlighted that Khazna is building the next generation of digital infrastructure to power the UAE’s AI future. By creating a secure and integrated digital ecosystem, the company contributes to positioning the UAE as a global leader in artificial intelligence.

All Khazna facilities are managed according to the highest international standards for security and governance. This ensures operational continuity, reliability, and resilience in providing critical digital services to government, business, and technology sectors.

International Expansion Plans

Beyond the UAE, Khazna has begun a data centre project in Saudi Arabia and is working on design projects in France and Italy. The company is also evaluating potential expansions into Greece, Cyprus, and several Southeast Asian markets, including Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, and India.

Harmoodi emphasised that these investments not only support AI but also foster innovation, technological advancement, and economic diversification.
