Kritika Kamra Discusses Her OTT Journey, Project Delays, and Matka King

Post by : Meena Hassan

Actress Kritika Kamra has established a notable presence in the world of digital entertainment through her roles in pieces such as Hush Hush, Bambai Meri Jaan, and Gyaarah Gyaarah. With an array of versatile performances to her name, she acknowledges that while her journey has been rewarding, the intervals between her projects often induce a sense of anxiety.

Looking back at her recent endeavors, Kritika discussed her latest series, Saare Jahan Se Accha, which continues to garner attention even months post-launch. “There’s been a period of waiting before the releases, which can sometimes be tough for us actors. Thankfully, when Saare Jahan Se Accha was released, it received consistent viewership. It picked up gradually,” she remarked.

She added, “The feedback is still rolling in, even two months after its release. We are thrilled about that, as it indicates that people are not only watching but also recommending it to others. As an actor, that’s what you strive for.”

Kritika now looks forward to the debut of her upcoming web series, Matka King, alongside Vijay Varma. While the release date remains undecided, she noted that such ambitious undertakings often require patience. “You desire your work to resonate with the audience, especially after a long wait. Matka King has been in production for a while. But with ambitious projects, you anticipate a lengthy wait,” she explained.

To keep her restlessness at bay during these waiting phases, Kritika mentioned that she enjoys staying busy. “I focus on various activities rather than solely waiting for those releases. But when the moment arrives, and the response is positive, it truly feels worthwhile,” she shared.

Reflecting on her journey within the OTT realm, Kritika expressed, “My growth has been gradual, which I appreciate. I'm in this for the long run. I want to make informed choices, and I’m content if it takes time to experience the results.”

As she tackles new projects, Kritika Kamra continues to highlight her versatility and dedication to impactful storytelling. With audiences keenly awaiting Matka King, her measured advancement in the OTT landscape illustrates her dedication to patience, persistence, and purpose.
