Kyrgyzstan and UAE Strengthen Ties in Tourism and Aviation

Post by : Shakul

Adylbek Kasymaliev, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, met with a high-ranking delegation from the United Arab Emirates to explore collaborative opportunities in tourism, air transport, trade, and investments. The discussions took place at the Yntymak Ordo Presidential Administration complex in Bishkek.

Kasymaliev acknowledged the UAE's significance as a crucial economic ally for Kyrgyzstan in the Middle East. He reiterated the intent of the Kyrgyz government to deepen bilateral engagement and investigate new avenues for cooperative growth that could bolster the economy and enhance regional ties.

A noteworthy aspect of the discussions was centered on tourism. Both parties considered methods to boost visitor exchanges and strengthen relations among tourism officials, enterprises, and investors. Kyrgyzstan aims to highlight its stunning mountain scenery, rich cultural heritage, and adventure tourism—appealing to travelers from the Gulf region.

The delegations also contemplated expanding air travel links between Kyrgyzstan and the UAE. Enhanced aviation options are anticipated to stimulate tourism, facilitate business trips, and encourage trade while generating fresh economic collaboration opportunities. Officials underlined the need for increasing flight routes and enhancing connections between major urban centers in both nations.

Kasymaliev expressed his appreciation to the UAE delegation and Air Arabia's management for their support in evacuating Kyrgyz nationals from the UAE in March 2026. As a gesture of gratitude, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic awarded them Certificates of Honor and Letters of Appreciation.

Investment collaboration was another significant agenda item. Kyrgyzstan extended invitations to UAE investors to partake in extensive national development initiatives, particularly focusing on tourism infrastructure, transportation, logistics, and other key sectors. Officials emphasized that foreign investments are essential for enduring economic growth.

At the meeting's conclusion, both parties committed to ongoing collaboration aimed at fostering tourism growth, expanding air travel routes, enhancing trade activities, and boosting investment partnerships. The discussions illustrated a mutual commitment to strengthening economic connections and unveiling new shared opportunities.
