Post by : Bianca Haleem

Dubai South, Dubai – Tim Aerospace has celebrated the grand opening of its expansive maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) hangar at the Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH), establishing one of the largest independent facilities in the region. This new facility is capable of housing up to 12 narrow-body or five wide-body aircraft of any make, excluding the A380, illustrating the company’s commitment to expanding its influence in the Middle East.

The inauguration event included key figures from Dubai’s aviation industry, such as HE Khalifa Al Zaffin, Executive Chairman of Dubai Aviation City Corporation and Dubai South, along with Tahnoon Saif, CEO of MBRAH, and Timor Shah Shahab, Founder of Tim Aerospace. Senior leaders from significant airlines were also in attendance, showcasing strong industry support for this landmark occasion.

Positioned strategically within Dubai South, the new hangar aims to provide top-notch, economical aircraft maintenance services for commercial passenger and cargo planes. Enhancing operational efficiency and capacity, the facility enables Tim Aerospace to respond to increasing regional demand while adhering to global safety and reliability standards.

This launch highlights Dubai’s aspiration to establish itself as a focal point for aerospace innovation and operational excellence. MBRAH is designed to offer excellent connectivity, a free-zone environment for international aviation stakeholders, and a comprehensive ecosystem that fosters engineering, maintenance, and training efforts.

This initiative further solidifies Dubai South’s status as a key player in attracting global aerospace investments, increasing its allure to airlines, private jet operators, and MRO service providers looking for strategic growth in the region.
