Mahira Khan dismisses facelift rumours, blames makeup error

Post by : Meena Hassan

Pakistani actress Mahira Khan has spoken out against online claims that she had a facelift, saying the difference in her appearance at a Lahore event was the outcome of a makeup mistake rather than any surgical procedure.

She was appearing with Fawad Khan to promote their film Neelofar when viewers noticed subtle changes to her facial contours, prompting swift speculation across social platforms that she had undergone cosmetic work.

Mahira clarified the change was caused by an eyebrow-lifting makeup method that did not sit as intended. Her makeup artist had attempted a ‘snatched’ styling — a trend designed to lift brows and define the jaw — but the application produced an unintended effect.

Mahira addresses facelift speculation

After days of chatter, Mahira used an Instagram Story to respond with good humour, showing her natural brow movement and making clear the look was makeup-related, not surgical.

Her frank reply to online comments

When questioned by a follower about the change, Mahira replied directly, thanking fans for their concern and explaining that the look resulted from a two-part hair-lift technique applied by her makeup artist that simply hadn’t worked out. She added it was a learning experience and moved on with warmth towards her supporters.

Her straightforward explanation drew positive reactions from followers, who praised her openness and down-to-earth tone.

The ‘snatched look’ has become widespread among celebrities and influencers, aiming for lifted eyes, sharper cheekbones and a more defined jawline — features often associated with a youthful, sculpted appearance.

While some people pursue surgical routes for these results, experts note similar effects can be achieved through non-surgical approaches such as facial exercises, sculpting massages or skin-tightening treatments.
